Andrea Drury, soprano, andThomas Drury, piano and organ, will present a program of music by G.F. Handel, Reynaldo Hahn, Flor Peeters, and Thomas Drury.
Andrea Drury is director of choirs at Evansville North High School, Evansville, Indiana. Under her direction, the Concert Choir has been ranked in the top ten choirs in the state of Indiana for the past three years. She holds a music education degree from Baylor University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University. Before settling in Evansville, Ms. Drury appeared with various opera companies and orchestras throughout the country, including Opera North, Amarillo Opera, the Santa Fe Symphony, and the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus.
Thomas Drury is director of music at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Evansville, Indiana, where he functions as organist, pianist, choir director, praise band keyboardist/director, composer, arranger, and worship planner. Mr. Drury is also accompanist of the University of Southern Indiana Chamber Choir and is active as a freelance accompanist in the Evansville area. He holds degrees from the University of Iowa and the University ofMichigan, and his teachers have included Rudolf Zuiderveld, Delbert Disselhorst, Martin Katz and George Ecklund. Mr. Drury is a native of Carlinville, Illinois, and played the violin in The Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony for several years. He and Andrea are the parents of two sons, Aidan and David.
